Do You Deserve Success

What's your first reaction to that question? Do you believe you deserve success, abundance, love and happiness? Or is there something inside that says you'll never get there? Did you grow up with a positive, supportive family? Or did you receive many negative messages? Even well-meaning parents or teachers can say or do something that stays with us for decades. If your initial response to this question was not a definite YES, then look at the reasons why. Is it because you feel you're not smart enough, pretty enough, skilled enough? I grew up with the repeated message that "we're not good enough" and it took many, many years to move past that conditioning. To move into the successful state of mind, do the following: ? Write down all the great things about you. (Forget about all the things you want to change. For now, just focus on the great qualities.

) ? Ask people you trust to tell you what they like best about you. Ask your kids, your partner, your best friend. Don't analyze what they say, just add it to your list. ? Be aware of things you do and notice the kindness, the skills and the joy you bring to others.

If those aren't on your list yet, add them. ? Print this on fancy paper and at the top write "I DESERVE SUCCESS!" You can change the word "success" to anything that fits for you, i.e.

, happiness, prosperity, abundance, peace. Then post this where you can read it every morning and every night. Make a smaller copy and stick it in your briefcase or purse. ? Release the guilt. We all make mistakes, but that doesn't lessen the fact that we all deserve success, joy and happiness.

Consciously focus on what goes right, not what went wrong. ? Start believing in yourself - one step at a time. Acknowledge your accomplishments and keep repeating "I deserve success." ? If you're still having problems accepting that you deserve abundance, think of all the children, animals, communities and organizations that you can help when you're successful instead of struggling. Focus on what you can do for others and this then takes on a much higher purpose.

When you do this process daily, you'll begin to experience a mind shift. Instead of focusing on everything you can't do, you'll see all the good you do. Those feelings start attracting more "good" things. There's power in our feelings and our thoughts. Here's a wonderful quote by Marianne Williamson.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." You definitely deserve success.

Go grab it and be the wonderful you that you were created to be.
